Peak Health’s Interim CEO Becomes Permanent

Sep 29, 2022

Keystone, CO (May 25th, 2022): Peak Health Alliance, a leading purchasing alliance operating throughout Western Colorado, has appointed Anne Ladd to the position of CEO effective June 1, 2022. Ladd had been appointed Interim CEO following the departure of Claire Brockbank, who accepted a position with the 32BJ Fund to scale the Peak model in New York.

“We are fortunate to have a candidate to build on Claire’s successful leadership,” said Don Dankner, Chairman of Peak Health Alliance. “We conducted a search and Anne rose to the top. She has been consulting with Peak on our expansion into Routt County since last October and has demonstrated the knowledge and skill set we need right now.”

Ladd, a native of Wyoming, started her health care career over 30 years ago. Sher has worked in Wyoming, Colorado and California. She brings a great deal of experience with new product development, alternative payment models, data analytics, value-based benefit design, public policy, and community organizing to the job. She possesses a deep understanding of the health care delivery system’s financial complexities and the particularly difficult circumstances of rural health care.

“It is a thrill to have an opportunity to build on the amazing success of Peak,” said Ladd. “To see premiums reduced 46% since the launch in Summit County in 2020 is beyond impressive.”

In the eight counties where Peak now operates (Summit, Grand, Lake, Park, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Juan) residents have saved over $10 million. “That is money that can be used for a myriad of other purchases, which makes Peak not just a force in health care, but also a driver of economic development and diversity,” added Dankner.
